Keep informed of new Urgent Action Letter Writing Campaigns and latest developments


Following are links to letters that ANCPR has sent out to decision makers concerning the issue of Child Support Enforcement and Joint Custody.  You can use them in your own letter writing campaign.  ANCPR urges you to do this.  We would love for you to join ANCPR.  But if you can't, please go out and buy a role of stamps and a box of envelopes, use these letters as a guide to writing your own and send them to your own Representatives in Congress, or to your local media.

  HR 1488 would give child support collection to the IRS.

• Letter to Judge Lloyd concerning Gordon Stuart case

  Gordon Stuart was placed under house arrest and forced to wear a monitor anklet in order to enforce a child support order for a 21 year old daugher in college.

• Letter received by ANCPR member from Congressman Richard Burr

  The member had sent the Congressman one of our letters found at our Legislative Action Center.   The letter sent was in protest of the injustice of the latest efforts to improve child support enforcement.  However, the Congressman wrote back to thank our member for his support of even greater child support enforcement, completely ignoring what our member had written.  An excellent example of how these people don't really care, and are not informed, of the injustices of the system.

H.R. 3811 makes it a felony to cross state lines if your arrears are greater than $5000.

• Letter to L. A. Times opposing their editorial in support of Moss

  California Supreme Court  decided the state has the power to send non-custodial parents to jail for being unemployed.

• Letter opposing House Joint Resolution 182

This is a letter written by ANCPR to the Chairman of the House Committee on Crime concerning a proposed Joint Resolution of Congress, that was authored by Representative Connie Morella.  This Resolution must be condemned in the strongest terms.  Please copy the letter and paste it into a document that you can send to the committee yourself.  We have also included a link to a page with the names and address of all the members of this committee.  You should send copies to each of these individuals.

• Letter to KCRW

This letter is to a radio station, commenting on one of their programs, and suggesting they cover the topic of Child Support Enforcement and Family Law.  You could use this with your own stations.  The more this issue gets covered the better, as sooner or later, our side will come out, and people will listen.
