Following are notes from Stephen Baskerville, PhD., author of one of the strongest indictments of the Child Support Industry to date. The attached article is just published in the June issue of Liberty, a highly-respected libertarian magazine.

This is obviously a major breakthrough at a big magazine with a large and influential circulation. Also, for the first time my charges are documented with footnotes. While there is inevitably some repetition, this article contains new information on the federal role in child support enforcement, documented using government sources. (I wanted a stronger title: "The Hoax of the Deadbeat Dad." But now I can save that for the next piece.)

Libertarians are proving to be some of our greatest allies, logically so, since this issue is a natural for them, and they should be encouraged. The "fatherhood crisis" is a classic case of the government creating a problem for itself to solve.
