WHAT IS ANCPR?

Non-Custodial Parents Rights. We are a national, nonprofit, educational organization
dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights of non-custodial parents and their
families.
-

fathers 23%

-
What does ANCPR do?
- ANCPR keeps abreast of proposals in the
Congress that affect non-custodial parents.
- ANCPR provides tools with which you can
fight back and change this system.
- ANCPR makes sure that the perspective of
non-custodial parents is given a fair hearing by the press and other media.
- ANCPR provides legal services for
non-custodial parents so that they can learn to protect their rights in Family Court.
- ANCPR promotes reform legislation to
eliminate the injustices of Family Law.
-
What sets ANCPR apart from other
organizations?
- We represent both women and men.
- We have a proactive program for
reform.
- We are not afraid to sponsor
demonstrations and protest marches.
- We get media attention. ANCPR
commentaries have been aired on television, national radio and newspapers.
- We are not lawyers. We want to
reform the system, not profit by it.
- We support SHARED PARENTING AND
JOINT CUSTODY and an end to the adversarial system of Family Law.
- We articulate the issues in a way
that will get the results we all want.
-
ARE YOU A NON-CUSTODIAL FATHER?
- ANCPR can help you enforce
visitation and modify your child support obligation. If you are just now beginning the
painful process of divorce, ANCPR can help you to represent your interests in Family
Court. You will find that our Pro Se
Member Support option, and the ANCPR MODIFICATION HANDBOOK are invaluable, whether or not they are represented
by a lawyer.
-
ARE YOU THE WIFE OF A NON-CUSTODIAL
FATHER?
- ANCPR offers you a way to make your special concerns heard by politicians and news media who seem to ignore the
realities you face every day. You have a right to live happily and fully with the one you
love.
-
ARE YOU A NON-CUSTODIAL MOTHER?
- Your situation is in some ways the
most difficult of all. There are few support groups for mothers who do not have custody of
their children, and the assumption is generally that something must be wrong with you for
this to have happened. ANCPR believes that children need both of their parents if they are
to grow up happy and well adjusted. Children need both their mothers and their fathers.
-
ARE YOU GRANDPARENT?
- ANCPR understands that Family Courts
often ignore the invaluable role you play in the upbringing of your grandchildren. We are
fighting to make sure that children all across the nation never lose touch with their
grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives who enrich their lives and help to guide
them through the troubled times in which they live.
